Report of the exhibition “PHOTONICS WEST 2023”

■PHOTONICS WEST 2023
Luceo exhibited at PHOTONICS WEST 2023 which was held at The Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 31 to February 2nd.

■Event Venue
The Moscone Center is conveniently located. It is a 10-minute walk from Powell Street Station which is about 20 minutes by subway from the San Francisco International Airport.

We exhibited polariscope, polarizers/waveplates, and many visitors dropped in our booth.

In order to attract visitors’ attention, we folded a peacock and a crane with transparent film, so that people can observe them with a polarizer. This uniquely Japanese object led to many inquiries, such as for residual stress inspections of Si and SiC wafers and for examinating the molding conditions of colored resins.
We also got attention by exhibiting the “Super Broadband Waveplate SB-RETAX” on a rotating LED stage that is shining in rainbow colors. And we got inquiries about new applications that we had not expect.

SB-RETAX is used in a various application such as analytical instruments and astronomical observation.

It was our first overseas exhibition in a while. We will develop and brush up the new produts considering the feedbacks got from this exhibition.
